I'll bet that he thought long and hard about his past before deciding to run. At one point, shortly after his name was first brought up as a possible candidate, there were rumors from the Bush camp that he might not run. I thought, at that time, that he was not too happy about the possibility of having his entire life examined with a fine tooth comb. It's not just Bush. Now that the conservative Republicans have raised personal political attacks to a higher level, a person better be squeaky clean to run for dog catcher!
