ATI shares jump after Intel retreats from market
by Mark Evans - Friday, August 20, 1999

Mr. Evans, regarding the article above, how is it that you can even begin to attempt to pass
off Mr. Glaskowsky's comments as being those of an informed unbiased analyst?? It is
common knowledge that Glaskowsky's firm has one of the largest short positions in ATI.
Any thorough reporter would have at least gone as far as to question Glaskowsky about his
current position in the stock and then include that information along with the story. How
can your readers make informed decisions based on your "reports" if they contain such
blatant stock promotion (or in this case you could say dis-promotion) without revealing any
biases the source might have. Seriously, this kind of reporting is rank amateurism at it's
worst. Other than your info on the previous day's trading, where are the facts? Besides a
biased quote from one analyst, where is the hard hitting journalism in your "story"?

It would be interesting to find out how much money your report saved Mr. Glaskowsky.
Maybe it was the perfect chance he needed to unwind his short position - at the expense of
those who bought on Thursday's strength of course!

Sincerely,
Report TOU ViolationShare This Post
