W, I downloaded and installed the free internet service from AltaVista microav.com about three days ago. It was a quick download and installed easily. So far I've got no complaints...outside of the banner adv. That's not too distracting. They tell you that if you don't click on one of their ads once every 30 minutes you'll get automatically disconnected. I figure it's worth having it as a back up. What the heck...it's free:) One thing I noticed is that after you load it, it has a tendency to interfere with your existing dial-up ISP dialer. I have to right click on my existing ISP IE icon, open properties and click on the "use modem" box, because my dialer switches over to a LAN connection (on my original ISP) after I use the free internet service. Might just be my set-up?
