Dear Ken,
I don't know about any of the people you mention in this posting except Cheeky Kid, but I can assure you that there has never even been a hint of backstabbing in PMs between us. He is concerned--and rightly so--about widespread panic (unfortunately, not the musicians, who are worth a listen) and has expressed concern about it.
He knows my profession--WHICH I DO NOT DIVULGE HERE FOR PROFESSIONAL REASONS AND HAVE ALREADY DIVULGED TOO MUCH--and shares my understanding that most of the U.S. and Europe will be ready, that Asia, parts of South America, and Africa are going to represent a supply-chain problem. (BTW, see my earlier posting on this very subject.)
Our PMs, just for the record and contrary to what Cheryl suggested earlier, have dealt with which industries are at what stage in what part of the world. Never has there been a hint of backstabbing or even criticism on CK's part except to express concern about what the effects of bad information and what the effects of frustrated Y2K hysteria might be if the world as we know it does NOT grind to a halt.
Just to keep the world here clear, Cheeky Kid is not a part of the clique to which you refer. He is an honest and decent poster, posting his thoughts based on what his own professional experiences have informed him and based on input from people like me who have first-hand knowledge. |
