There are many things that eBay does that I disagree with (and I have made that VERY clear on this board).

However, moving to reign in the abuse of Reserve auctions is something I think will benefit everyone.

I get tired of sellers on eBay trying to extract way above market values for items, when eBay is providing them with very much reduced marketing expenses. (Buyers come to eBay looking for a deal....)

These people are being pigs, and as far as I am concerned, they can go to slaughter.

But you know what? They aren't going anywhere, because they get their best prices on eBay.

What is the harm in letting the buyers know the ballpark of the reserve?
