Add another 200MB to Flight Simulator?

The network is the flight simulator? :)

Just imagine combining this with cable, DSL, thin clients, and huge secure servers.

Oooo... For those who don't get the reference here, it's to the StarOffice Java server. This is the big prize. It's merely a fun prank giving the Windows suite away for free.

StarOffice 5.1 for Java

Especially for the growing market of Network
Computing, Star Division created StarOffice 4.0 for
Java, which enables any Java-capable machine to
provide all the functionality of StarOffice. StarOffice 5.1
for Java now takes it one step further.

StarOffice for Java is a 100% pure Java application
that provides the StarOffice Desktop on any Network
Computer. StarOffice for Java is not an office suite
reduced to only 20% of the total functionality, but rather
takes advantage of the existing technology of the
StarOffice components, based on the specially tuned
Client/Server concept, and makes them available even
on low-performance Java machines.

It is therefore irrelevant how many users work on the
StarOffice Server simultaneously. You are also able
share all documents and resources. Especially the
"Total Cost of Ownership" can be significantly reduced
by implementing StarOffice for Java in collaboration
with the StarOffice Server. Thanks to the
platform-independent programming language, Java, it
is not necessary to install the application on each
workplace. StarOffice for Java can be run on any
Java-capable browser. All configurations and settings
can be made by the system administrator on the server
and therefore at a centralized location.
