DiamondH:Re: WCOM reparations:
When Pentium was found to have a flaw few years back, INTC offered to fix all of them: Cost: ~ 450,000,000, all of their quarter's earnings.
Is WCOM prepared to emulate that?

Dude you said...

>>>It reminds me of the Intel processor bug debacle. Unfortunately, Intel did not cave until there was a huge consumer outcry.<<<

The point is that Intel took a long time to own up according to you...WCOM apparently suffered the same misjudgement in your view as well.

Who cares. Both companies are stellar outfits that have slipped up from time to time but have rebounded quite nicely BECAUSE they partially control
future technologies that the world MUST have. Yes WCOM has a different competitive environment than Intel, but they do have the best internet
communication network system in the world. Customers understand that.

What did you want WCOM to do, give a year's free service to those who were lost for a week? Customers who let their emotions control their judgements
will fail anyway. If they want to get back at WCOM and drop them, fine...but I have a feeling world class companies are more concerned with the bottom
line than the emotional outbursts exhibited by the Chicago Board of Exchange weenie.

Good luck to you,
Rick
