Oops. The 15 minute window closed. Before anyone responds, make that 10 minutes for one way transmission of a 300GB file, as it is 4Gbps each way.

300 GB is absolutely huge, so 10 minutes is not bad at all.

A multi tape cartridge claim file that I worked with for a former client, a large insurance company, had 34 million claim records of 700 bytes. It took hours to process on a large IBM mainframe.

But that is only 24 GB, which the MRVC equipment could transmit in only 48 seconds.
