Wasn't there "secret papers" about TWA800, that a missile shot it down, and to top it off, these papers were in the hand of (I believe) a former Presidential advisor?
Well all the news / investigative reporting (TLC, etc) on the cause of TWA800 seems to point to faulty wiring. Same thing with the Swiss Air MD-11 that went down off the east coast of Canada.
Where and why do these rumours get started?
I still believe Y too Kay will be one of the BIGGEST non-events in the history of man. People still can't grasp the concept that people are working on this problem as we speak and some companies started their Y2K fixes in the early 90's.
The media has done the public a disservice, misquotes and only doom and gloom reports.
Did you see the new TV commercial for a new automobile? It uses Y2K as the promo for the car, I can't remember the whole commercial, but this guy is on a stage and reporters are asking him questions, is there a White House cover up? blah, blah, blah, at the end of the commercial a reporter asks "who is behind this hype?" The guy on the stage says...THE MEDIA?
