Chaz, I have a slightly different view than you and Michael. I often find myself "averaging down" on my holdings that haven't done well. Sometimes that is very rewarding. (check out a 2 year chart of former SFE baby NOVL. These things can come back from the dead. I assume that when SFE continues to support a company, they KNOW that management is solid and the product is good. It is really just a matter of waiting for the market to discover, or rediscover, the value. This approach must also be very encouraging to the new companies who, now, have so many VC vying for their business. Knowing that they won't be stranded should give them an advantage in getting good partnership companies. JMHO
