I realize that this is not an answer, but I would say the watch phrase now is to expect the unexpected. In the absence of good news, the troubling events brewing around the world (political, military, economic, natural disasters, etc) are increasing. Eventually, one or more of them will explode and have a serious impact on the markets. It is also the case that nothing goes on forever. Eventually the bull run will end, and I believe that we've already seen some of the events that may foreshadow more serious events in the not too distant future which can bring about its end. Until then the sentiment should be one of caution. If the market does make new highs in the next few weeks, I believe that it will be in for a bigger fall right after. I still see weakness in the rising market, and it is still looking like there will be a repeat performance of last year's Sep/Oct fall. And whether the market rebounds after that remains to be seen.
