The Bell Jar by Plath at the moment. Very dark! Read it in high school and was quite moved by it....I was in that "dark" phase that many teenagers tend to get in (actually in retrospect, I may have even been clinically depressed). I can't hear the title now without thinking of poor Sylvia with her head in the oven. It's terrible when a creative person like that takes their own life. I think many avoid treatment because they feel that it might in some way effect their creativity. Of course, she was in treatment and it still didn't save her.
