NVID's press release regading horse testing:

One case involved a very expensive thoroughbred horse that had an abscessed shoulder wound that was not responding to traditional treatment.

One might wish to check where this testing was conducted. Was it a scientific investigation or someone smearing this stuff on a friend's horse someplace near Lake City, Florida?
