Dear Ken,

Yes, I did read them. There were some good points; there were also some factual difficulties. However, following the treatment I have received on this threat from Cheryl and flatsville--not to mention Fred's snideness--I am staying off this thread. There are more than enough ways in life to find aggravation; I don't need abuse on SI when I am posting substantive first-hand information.

Please don't take this posting personally. I am simply explaining why I prefer not to get any postings from this thread inviting me to any further discussions.

If you are interested in discussing Y2K implications for the oil industry, you might want to contact JXM. However, I fear that if he too is reluctant for professional reasons to give his name, rank, and serial number, he too will probably have the information he has to offer dismissed.
