Peter Sherman: Are you saying that a tax cut would be stupid due to the fact that there isn't a real surplus? Just trying to clarify.

Yes, there probably isn't a real surplus. If that is true, then "saving" other programs is just as "stupid".

I'm not trying to "bait" you into an argument. I'm just trying to understand why people (not politicians and talking heads) wouldn't like to spend, save, and/or(as you wisely stated) INVEST their hard earned $$$$$? Especially in Q! No bias here. : )

"People" can't get "richer a better way" unless they have the capital to invest. Allowing them to keep more of what they make is a good start. Just my opinion.

Just imagine if everyone on the Q thread for the past five years could have bought shares with the money they contributed to SSI. "Quillionaires" would be an understatement. How about Multi-Quillionaires? (Sounds kind of nice doesn't it?) Maybe some here already have.

Just some off topic, weekend thoughts. Look forward to your response (if you care to). Have to go to work and pay the taxes on what I made working last night! : )
