Inteligent Spec,
Regarding the meltown and lessons learned on the SNMM meltdown. Here are the quotes from the SNMM thread that I saved for my permanent record. I hope that reading them from time to time will keep me honest. Many of these people are still accumulating and long. This sometimes works when you hold on for eons. But never for a daytrader. Honor your stops. ------------------------------------------------------------
"I hope it doesnt gap too much, this thing will blow over and I will be rich after getting it cheap. I might get a loan, wire more money into my account"
"Baryz1-a very shaken long here. I also found wallstreet.com to come up also, but as a registered member it will not let you log on. I found this disturbing as well. I have extreme sympathy for those that took a loss today and am trying to keep my composure. It's going to be a long weekend as I currently have 17,000 shares." Mike
"They (shorts) will get theirs. Be it a broken arm, an accident, death of a son or daughter or maybe cancer, they will get theirs. What goes around, come around. Starnet will rebound and down the road this will probably happen again. Starnet is still a super stock for the long term. Should be up to $13.00 by next week."
"Pain will end with you. Go to hell buddy, I am sticking to SNMM. It will be $13 on Monday again. RCMP could not prove one damn thing."
"Well said. I'm in too much pain right now to think straight. Was out of the office a lot today, so didn't know what had happened until SNMM was already at 5. Still in shock. I went into a lot of debt to buy more Starnet over the last several months, but thank goodness, it's not margin! Like so many others, dreams appear to have been destroyed today, along with confidence I and others had in my judgement, and a lot of other things. It's certainly possible that my life was completely and unalterably changed for the worse today. BUT----- until we know more, we really don't know what all of this means for sure. Starnet as a company is still in a dynamic, growing international market. Today's events just prove that Canada is just as backward as the U.S. when it comes to the legal issues of gambling as related to the Internet. If worse comes to worse, what's to keep another company from outside the U.S. and Canada from acquiring Starnet for a fat premium to the stock price? I guess we just have to wait and see what additional formation we can get from all of this."
"I didn't have 100% of my investment tied up in Starnet, only 99.82%, including my IRA. And the other .08% is down 72% from my purchase price! A great day at the ranch. HA. I appreciate your comments and concern. Just hurting on this end. Hands paralyzed, knees of butter, heart of gold, and feeling like a fool! |
