Jeff,

Any mining operation in the United States is required to comply with the Mine Safety Act. Basically this means that all miner must receive mandatory training. For surface and mill operations this is a 24 hour course. For underground mines this is a 40 hour course. Once a miner has received this training he or she must have an 8 hour refresher course every year. They must also have 8 hours if they go to work for a new operation or come back to the mining industry after being away for a year or more. The federal agency is MSHA or Mine Safety and Health Administration.

Every operator is required to apply for a federal ID. Every operator is also subject to annual inspection every year. Surface mines and mills get two per year and underground mines get four per year.

I am certified to provide this training for metal and nonmetal mines and mills but not for coal. While I was working on my masters degree, I worked for the New Mexico State Mine Inspector (a division of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology)

Maybe Mr. Bard would be so kind as to provide us with Orex's federal MSHA ID number. VBG

Tim
