Yep, CE is a joke. Bloatware Jr. Needs tons of memory and resources such as battery. The New Age of Computing is all about maximizing resources. It's all about thin, lightweight devices that turn on instantly, stays on without rebooting and no blue screens. The biggest issue will be cost. Not only initial, but subsequent. All of these are things that are devoid in the Realm of $ill and the Evil Empire of Bloat and Blue screens. Fat is out, thin is in. Time to give $ill a lifetime membership to the Fat Farm Fitness Center, but I don't think a cronic compulsive can reduce itself. It's just going to keep being the fat body it is....

What was one the first things WK offered? A solution for Mr. Softie Exchange!! Let's not offer a solution that taps all e-mail servers or e-mail programs, let's rollout something that tightens the noose of the Lard Butt Bloatware!! But hey, howcome MR. Softie stock isn't rallying like the others? Could it be that folks are now starting to wonder how MR. Softie is going to compete and have revenue growth? The Beatles had it right, Money can't buy me love..... nor is it going to buy market share either.

There are heaps of little puter makers but they have been dwindling as margins have tightened and inventory has become crucial. Another sign.....

You'll not get Dell, Compaq, H-P, IBM, Gateway, etc to remove Bloatware and refund you in the US. They have a fit about it, but they have certainly have heard enough, otherwise why do you think that Dell made the decision to offer Linux? What they think its a neat toy? Or could it be that the consumer is increasingly demanding it? Bet your Q currency that if the DoJ hadn't filed suit against Mr. Softie due to numerous complaints, Dell wouldn't be in the position to offer Linux today without blatant armtwisting and direct threats from Redmond.

Rail was both a monopoly and a cartel in the 19th century.
The only thing the big magnates had in common was central rail heads such as NYC or Chicago. They rarely tread onto others turf. That way the price was kept artificially high. When an upstart would make the bad choice of "competing" the magnates would drop the price, forcing bankruptcy or to sellout. Gee, does that sound familiar? I think it does.....

Now an answer to some of your rants about sheep. Funny, the US may not be allowing sheep in, but they have no problem with apples and dartboards from NZ...........
