Dr. M, good for you, your Dad and your family. Who cares, otherwise. If those valuations still ruled the day, there would not be 2 million new millionaires out here. If your Dad's company was growing at 150% year over year and was expected to for 3-5 years, you would certainly have seen some very high valuations.

yhoo did 203 million in 1998 and was valued at 20 billion in december.
