News out of China last two days pretty well ignores Taiwan except for a statement by Jiang that the interests of Taiwanese investors in China would be protected in spite of the political differences. Foreign Minister almost begging the US to initiate WTO talks and to 'make a new offer' on the Embassy bombing. China returning to pre-crisis reforms. Zhu denies reports that he'd threatened to quit because reform movement being thwarted. (Jiang realizing how important Zhu is considered internationally?)
