No further details of the announcement were available from GM. But Tory MPP Jerry Ouellete says the world's largest automaker will announce the largest single investment in GM Canada's history. Prime Minister Jean Chretien will be in Oshawa for the announcement. The last major investment was in 1984, when GM spent $1 billion to expand its plants in Oshawa General Motors Monday August 23, 2 p.m. ET General Motors is expected to announce a huge investment in Canada. Prime Minister Chretien in attendance will comment after the announcement." I have no idea if this has anything to do with the fuel cell, we will have to watch. Chip
