Personal anecdote:
I had to go to work on Saturday because a new server ( Sun microsystems 450 ) was installed to run the database that I take care of. When I rebooted my workstation to check that everything was working OK, I received a lot of new messages about operating system patches being loaded to my workstation. I asked the unix guy I was working with what they were all for. He told me that they are all new Y2K patches. Every week, they check for new patches and they are still coming in every week! Either Sun is still finding them or clients of Sun are finding them and still reporting.
Previous to Saturday, I was under the impression that the Sun operating system we were using was fully Y2K compliant. Maybe, because I had been told that! I'm sure that Sun is not the only computer company still finding Y2K problems even with their "Y2K compliant" operating systems and software.
