Wow, what a great story. I've got tears in my eyes, just reading it. Good for CW that the school has thought of all these activities to get the kids involved in the school scene. It made me realize one big difference between Tulane, and LSU. I started college at LSU, of course that was back in the 1970's, and I didn't live in a dorm, but it wasn't at all like that, with the activities, I knew people who lived in the dorm and it just didn't happen. But Tulane, where I finally graduated from, does stuff like that for entering freshman. I suspect that Rice and Tulane do it because they are both private schools, and can afford it, and LSU, a public school, can't. Although actually LSU is rolling in dough, and Tulane is strapped all the time. Or maybe it's just something that didn't get started until the 80's?
