Very Nice Contract AT&T wins $400 mln AlliedSignal contract BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Aug. 23 (Reuters) - AT&T Corp. said Monday it won a multi-year contract worth more than $400 million from manufacturer AlliedSignal Inc. (NYSE:ALD - news) to provide and run its phone and data services. The deal calls for AT&T Solutions, AT&T's professional services unit, to provide global networking management and to standardize communications technology across AlliedSignal's infrastructure, according to an AT&T statement. AT&T Solutions will centralize AlliedSignal's communications technology and manage it across the company's business units. The agreement involves nearly 400 sites in 19 countries in North and South America, Europe and Asia, and includes wireless services in the United States for more than 3,000 wireless phones, local telephone service at company locations in the United States, and voice and data services across the United States and Europe. As part of the deal, AT&T will manage AlliedSignal's global data wide area network and North American voice and local area network infrastructure.
