Didn't you tell me about some kind of 2X margined $NDX shares?

I've got a good grasp of margin (both initial and maintenance). You are absolutely correct when you state that it is entirely at your brokerage's discretion to change the maintenance requirement (typically changing from 35% ot 50%).

I must not have asked my question properly or I did something wrong on SI-- I was asking about some kind of "leveraged index play" without using margin I thought I read about on the thread.
