KeyLabs Chosen to Support Cisco Security Associate Program; Independently Validate Program Member Products for Interoperability

LINDON, Utah, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- KeyLabs(TM), Inc., the industry's
premier independent test facility, has been chosen to verify interoperability
between third-party security products and Cisco's market-leading security
products, including PIX firewall, NetRanger intrusion detection system and
IPSec encryption offerings. Testing will be done in support of Cisco's newly
launched Security Associate program. The new program, which includes 17
charter members, focuses on creating proven multi-vendor security solutions.

"Using KeyLabs' world-class network testing facility, we can ensure the
integration with and interoperability between Cisco and Security Associate
member products," stated J.D. Brisk, President and CEO of KeyLabs. "Such
testing can remove barriers to effective product integration and facilitate
the deployment of highly interdependent security solutions."

KeyLabs will evaluate select third-party security products from leading
vendors to ensure their interoperability with Cisco's firewall, Virtual
Private Network (VPN), intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, and
infrastructure security products. Together with Cisco's offerings the program
members' products enable customers to deploy mission-critical security
solutions for the Internet economy. The initial solutions areas offered under
the program include Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) products, IPSec VPN client
software, management/reporting tools, content filtering/ virus scanning
software, and authentication technologies.

"Cisco is committed to ensuring that its customers can deploy secure,
scalable, reliable networks and take full advantage of the Internet economy,"
added Tracey Lewis, Security Associate program manager for Cisco Systems. "By
verifying the interoperability of Cisco industry-leading security products
with complementary, third-party offerings, the testing done by KeyLabs enables
the delivery of proven solutions."

Charter members of the Security Associate program include:

-- Content Technologies -- Security Dynamics

-- CryptoCard -- Telemate

-- Data Fellows -- TimeStep

-- Entrust Technologies -- Trend Micro

-- Finjan -- Verisign

-- Indus River -- Websense

-- IRE -- WebTrends

-- Network Associates -- WorldTalk

-- Open Systems Solutions

"We are proud to be associated with this program," added Brisk. "Instead
of piecing together untried products, customers can rely upon tested
multi-vendor security solutions. This program eases the headaches of product
integration, and allows customers to focus on what really matters -- doing
business."
