Hi bp, Thanks for the welcome. As to what sparked my interest, I believe Rambus has the technology to create a major technological transition. I also believe that in time...this will be the standard. In addition, SDRAM runs at 100 or 133 MHz. RDRAM runs at 800 MHz; near future--1 GHz. Additionally, Intel's megabucks investment, Dell on board...last but not least my son has a masters degree in EE {which cost me megabucks} and he advised me to buy it. <ggg> Glenda
