Actually, this is for David, Emile, and the rest.
At the start of this past months venom-spewing, I expressed my objection to Emile's methods and ideas, in what I felt was an un-biased, as-kind-as-possible manner. I have kept silent since, hoping that Terrence & Ignacio's responses would be rebuke enough. Obviously, they weren't.
The bible says that blessed are you when men shall revile you for Christ's name's sake.
Emile, your hatred of Jews has NOTHING to do with true Christianity. The reviling you are taking has nothing to do with Christ. It has everything to do with the ugliness of hate which has been expressed in hundreds of lines of postings throughout these threads. And the ultimate atrocity is that you use the Bible as your support, swinging it about like a bloody morningstar.
David, your support for Emile in the name of Christian Unity is ill-founded. Would you support him if he decided to be unfaithful to his wife, and declared it as the way before us all, using scripture to back himself up? I don't think so, or at least, I hope not. His racism is ugly.
Terrence has heard it all before. From what I can gather, it is useless to debate with him or John the existence of God, the creation of the world, or why Christianity is true vs. other religions, as they themselves consider the question useless. (How they can do this, I can't quite get a grasp of, at least for the first two.)
As he sees (or perhaps he'd rather I said "Knows") reality, there is no God. He eschews the concept of faith, which is the prerequesite for coming to God. "He who comes to God must believe that He is." Therefore, his mind can only be changed by the experience of God in his life, and his willful acknowledgement of this experience as that of God.
If either of you are a kind person, it is not reflected here. If either of you is loving, you aren't showing it. You are bold and outspoken, which is admirable, but without love, you're a resounding brass.
