Thanks, Jorj. I'd appreciate it if you could expound on the oil industry embedded systems problems. I am espically fearful of shutdowns in that industry due to the about 9-10 different 'layers' re: all oil imports, and that any single one of those that is disrupted for any significant period of time, shuts off oil, period! And, with the resultant circle of dominoes on power generation/grid, and the remainder of the infrastructure. NO OIL=NO GRID!
What about the reports that I have seen from various represented insideRs that categorically state that the emb. systems in refineries are not even practically fixable; that rebuilding refineries are far more feasible (5 years +); that refineries may not be able to refine any more as of Jan 1. These refineries employ the best engineers money can buy, so if they cannot fix this problem in time, what does that say about the other 99% of entities with serious emb systems problems that employ engineers, and many magnitudes lower in qualifications?

Thanks for any insight here- espically if your sources are 'in the know' and you think are giving you accurate info rather than the 'party line'.
