Hummingbird announces record sales for the third quarter; revenue up for its core and growth strategy businesses newswire.ca Sales for the quarter ended June 30, 1999 were $42.5 million, an increase of 24% over the previous quarter ended March 31, 1999. Net income, excluding the amortization and write off of intangibles, compensation related to stock options and net merger and restructuring charges (''Adjusted Net Income'') was $8 million for the quarter ended June 30, 1999 compared to $7.3 million in the previous quarter ended March 31, 1999. Diluted earnings per share, based on Adjusted Net Income, were $0.52 for the quarter ended June 30, 1999 compared to $0.48 in the previous quarter ended March 31, 1999. --- Hummingbird third quarter shows strong sales biz.yahoo.com During a conference call with analysts, Sorkin committed to an 8 percent profit improvement and said Hummingbird will cut between 100 and 120 staff by the end of September as part of that effort. I sure hope they get rid of Rubin Osten the old PC Docs chief executive. He a bum in my books and a very overpaid one. The only thing I don't like is the INTANGIBLES 225.589 Million which I'm guessing is from the PC Docs purchase otherwise things look not to bad. We should kick some A*S tomorrow if not I'm going to try and fill up my shopping cart unless my poor old NN misses the quarter tomorrow. Mike
