Gary, That was a nice welcome you posted. Thanks! I'm in because 3COM has to be a value play at 23-24ish. I just bought a few hundred shares for starters, but here's a couple of reasons why: 1. $370MM net cash income in FY98. 2. I just have to believe that mgmt is looking for a way to enhance shareholder value. Maybe the golden parachute filed August 19 is a sign. Maybe it isn't (though, whatever it means, it certainly is NOT a bad sign). 3. I'm not a chartist, so what do I know, but the stock looks like a good value to me as it gets near 20 (a double bottom). 4. I'll never be OG (or G) on this thread, though. I'm just not going to put anywhere near the time into analyzing this stock that I put into ASND (at least, not until I've got 10,000 shares at stake). Thanks again, and best regards, Gary Korn
