RedHat is simply is the best linux version around! I listened to the radio show today and one guy argued that Mandrake is much better than redhat, bla, bla.

wrong!, redhat is way much better than mandrake.

(1) mandrake is just a "polished redhat". mandrake has to be compatible with redhat to survive. redhat is linux standard of its own.
(2) I'v run redhat 3.0.3 up to 6.0 now, and I have run mandrake 6.0. mandrake has problems with hardware configurations and compatibilities. That is, mandrake crashed when I installed it in my machine, but redhat never crashed due to the fact that redhat pick more stabled solution while mandrake chase the unstalbe, latest stuff. Mandrake is definately not a choice for corparations "shrink and wrap" linux solutions while redhat is!

My instituion exclusively buy redhat official version now. 1 years ago, We had none linux, now our 40 persons group have 15+ linux redhat desktop/laptop, each of the desktop cost between $3000 - $6000. Over the same period, we only bought 3 NTs in comparison. Linux is great!! Go redhat!!

(note, while my company buy $75 official redhat copy, I myself only buy $2 cheapbyte redhat CD. I go for cheap price for my home use, my company go for high price support!)
