I think this might be changing. Investors are standing around right now (or on vacation) in the tech/telecom/blue chip sectors, waiting for the summer doldrums to end. Nothing much expected to happen in the market in general until October. So, some (myself included) have turned their attention to the biotech sector, which has been getting increasing press, it would seem, and thus slowly becoming more understandable. Another thing which drives better understanding is that some of the biotechs are selling products, and generating mega-revenues---this tends to make MM's see the need for understanding the sector. And, the forecast is for more of the same from here on out. Biotech, IMHO, is emerging from the lab and into the marketplace with a vengeance. MM's were forced to try to understand technology/telecom, and now for the same reason I think they will be forced to understand biotech. Interesting times.....
