RE: Who establishes who is a gorilla. Mike, your post prompted a thought--Silicon value does help determine
the gorilla, because they invest in the value chain. A thesis of the gorilla game is that the gorilla's position is
self-perpetuating because the value chain helps it. Once suppliers and allied products creators decide on a
gorilla, they start placing their primary resources on the gorilla. That only increases the attractiveness of the
putative gorilla.

So, I'd say that Silicon Valley deciding on a gorilla is a very important element.
