PhoneFree, a New York-based Internet telephony company has retained
Hampel/Stefanides, part of the Envoy Communications Group, to handle its
$3.5-million advertising account. With this account Envoy adds another leading
e-commerce marketer to its list of North American clients.
Hampel/Stefanides will use off-line media to promote PhoneFree's service that
enables callers to enjoy real-time voice communication through the Internet simply
by clicking on the name of the person. The software allows users to place calls to
more people than any other product on the market. The campaign is scheduled to
launch in September.
"PhoneFree is yet another example of the leading e-commerce companies that are
attracted to the Envoy Group's e-Marketing model," stated Envoy chief executive
officer Geoff Genovese. "This win reaffirms our leading e-marketing position.
There is no doubt we have developed a niche that has caught on with
forward-thinking clients like PhoneFree and we are pleased to add them to our list
of North American accounts," he added.
