Guys, I said before that the large companies would eat FTEL's lunch. They are, aren't they? Long distance calls can now be made, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, for 8 cents per minute in the US! What is the low price for long distance in the US? It will be zero! YES. That is no misprint. Long distance in the US will be ZERO! It will be as free as the radio. You will pay for data feed line connections only. Over these connections will come TV, radio, phone, and a souped-up internet. You will pay one fee for the line and get all those services as a result.

So, will foreign calls also be free? I don't think so. Corruption and money-hungry state governments will impede progress, especially in backwards countries. Tax revenues in some countries will continue to be collected, and many large and micro-companies will vie for the remaining telephone billing available.

Companies like Cisco, Lucent, and ATT will enter the market for voice over the internet and companies like FCM will re-invent themselves, IMO.

Does anyone like the publishing business? I do :o)

FCM: ~ $1.44
