Grayhairs... Thank you for this and the other thoughtful posts...
It certainly remains difficult to predict the behavior of the market but S&P's description of lemmings certainly fits the bill.

PYR has been trading like this for the past three weeks, up at the end of the week, hoping not to miss any news over the weekend, and then down on average 18% on no news during the week and then up again by Friday.

Fear, as you mention, certainly played a part in this selloff but it is fascinating if you see the Buy/Sell statistics on HTP(see PYRX thread at Raging Bull), that one house unloaded 358000 shares without one buy. That certainly triggered all others in the JV to jump on board as the lemmings dove into the sea. Watch for more one house sell tactics today if we are absent news, but I somehow doubt it.

Having suffered for years at the hands of the market makers here in the US, I adopted a stance of admiration and respect for what a trading house can accomplish, given market psychology and the level of understanding of the average broker and investor, in such a short period of time. Of course, if fundamentals had changed or two to three million shares had traded I too would have been worried about unspoken news. Hell, if KOB had traded 3 million shares, I would have assumed that my broker had sold my stake!!!ggggg. Stephen
