I know more people with alcohol problems than I'd care to count on two hands. By your lights, repealing Prohibition destigmatized alcohol use, and maximized our alcohol problem (which is a BIG problem!) Yes, most people can handle their liquor, but the number who can't--by the last estimate I saw--is in the millions. Perhaps we should re-criminalize spirits use, so that it's less available.
