"Yesterday they left a flyer at the house offering their infospeed service. Their "money saving offer" is $198 initial charge and $49.95 per month. And this is a neighborhood that @home's been marketing in for over 2 years and where the installers are always fully booked!"

CRL,
And I'm assuming the competing @home cable modem service is probably still only a $100 activation charge (install fee waived) and then $39.95/month. Is this correct?

This is exactly what both Time Warner Road Runner AND GTE Worldwind charge for cable modem service in the central Florida market for about 18 months now.
Thanks,
