OFF (CURRENT IPO DISCUSSION) TOPIC:

Marshall--although Friday looked great for me--a nice NTOP upride and a modest PKTR upride--it seemed like everyone had a great Monday but me.

I sold NTOP at three positions on Friday, 32 3/4, 33 and 34, emptying out completely. So you can imagine how I felt when NTOP rolled big time on Monday.

Meanwhile, on PKTR, I loaded up big time to catch last Fridays closing surge. Was hoping to sell near the high on Monday morning. My plan was to sell three points up. But just as I was setting my limit it began going down and never got back. To make matters worse, with my limit in I began tearing the downstairs bathroom apart--we're renovating our house. That project went longer than I expected and when I got back to my computer PKTR had dived. At least this morning it's up 1 1/8. So I'll stay with it, hoping to get my three points and then I'll sell a significant portion and leave some in.

I was hoping to sell NTOP, buy PKTR and then, on a dip, buy back into NTOP, sell some and then play the next IPO. It's not going that way, however. NTOP took off too quickly.

By the way, caution on shorting NTOP as they've released two good news releases today.
