Proposed topic for the day: Yahoo! rollout. When it comes, what do we hope for? What would the announcement have to say to send the stock up, considering that the basic news was out months ago? And how much danger that it will send the stock DOWN, if it's seen as a weak offering? I'm hoping that with all the delays Yahoo! is coming up with a real killer app, but I'm also wondering what that would be. Will it be enough just to offer a central place to get and pay e-bills? Or will Yahoo! have to offer full 'net banking services, with checking, savings, CD's, loans? And if so, why would anyone prefer Yahoo! "bank" over Wingspan, or Schwab, or Chase? Just taking some time off at home -- giving me too much time to think.
