It looks like everyone (HDD makers) is cutting back, but no one admits to giving up market share. <g>

I wish Stitch were still active. He could probably tell us whether or not this was just a shift of production to somewhere else. I really can't draw any conclusions from it, and if I did they would surely be positive!

This may also be a mild negative for Singapore but I believe that the coming growth in Asia will more than make up for the lost DD business that they are experiencing. It seems that the old Asia Forum has turned into an exchange of political ideas rather than focusing on economic topics. Economic growth is never as interesting to talk about as economic woe. I think this Asian growth cycle is becoming firmly entrenched and could last a decade.
