There hasn't been a downside year since Jack Welch took over as CEO in the 1980's He has tenure until end of 2000, then he will be replacing himself with one of his clones. There are several in the stable You can't really compare past performance (Before Jack) because GE has not had as dynamic a leader IMHO wbASSETt
