>>John. You think we shouldn't have been in stocks since then ? Explain yourself.<<
regarding advance decline...it is self explanatory...there is a section on first link i provided which has discussion of the relevance of various types of A/D ....check it out....it would be nice to see objective discussion on this thread, since knowledgeable people are here, instead of just people looking for a way to "cut into" another poster..
party on...if you like (it may be very profitable), but this is very dangerous time to try to squeeze out more profits, in my opinion....cash on the side is what i like best...one could hedge long positions they want to hold, like intc, with some index puts or amplified bear fund(this can be done in ira as well) as a hedge ...USPIX is example, another RYURX...
everyone is "going public" Goldman was pleased to sell us shares...now is the NYSE contemplating it...people are discussing stocks in grocery lines...we have a baby boomer group that is used to 25% or more annual rates of return.....if this rubber band market continues to stretch until they start removing money for retirement..KAPOW goes the market...the "victums" would vent their anger politically for years..making for a poor financial market..
it would be far more healthy,IMHO, for the market to correct SHARPLY before the bull advances any more....educate the investors & give em a second chance to invest more rather with knowledge than extinguishing them when they want to withdraw their paper profits to spend...people want to retire earlier and earlier....i'm partially retired myself..at 53..i see patients only on per diem basis...
again too bad we don't get more intelligent responses to posts like this...most likely, someone will try to take part of this post, out of context, and make some cutting remark...like yousef,s "idiotic" or pauls "fool"
you are the only one who responded to my link post....i think it's mostly "sharks" here looking for posts to pounce on...there are a lot of posts about intc tech, true....but some of those, no doubt, have a vested interest promoting & spinning intc...I think several have multiple subscriptions to SI to enable dialogue between themselves to spin more..... |
