Somehow I doubt if we will ever be in a position to actually know what happened in this case, though that won't stop people from using the situation politically and believing (or pretending to believe) whatever they want to believe despite any evidence to the contrary.

And on the story on the Tibetans exchange2000.com well, if Ms. Logan is saying that the Chinese don't want to simply obliterate the Tibetan culture (rather like the English tried to do with the Irish in the 18th and 19th centuries?), well, then she must be a paid tool of and/or an apologist for the Chinese government, right? Not to mention an enemy of good people everywhere. (<sarcasm> in case anyone needs to be told)
