De Jager isn't sweating over Y2K

SNIP:
>>De Jager isn't fleeing the U.S. to avoid any Y2K catastrophes. In fact, he will spend just a few hours resting in the Heathrow Hilton and then turn right back around and fly back to the United States. Why? Because de Jager, who was once viewed as a Y2K doomsayer, believes the airlines are ready for Y2K-and so is the United States.

"Some people have suggested that I'm doing this to calm people down, that this is a stunt. After all, why would I go up in a plane if I thought Y2K would somehow affect my flight? It is a bit of a media stunt, but I'm so confident in what has been done," said de Jager.<<
