It's true, I agree. I am unreasonable. But having been married for almost 20 years to a man who thinks everything will be too much trouble, I just don't listen anymore. Not about stuff like whether or not it's too much trouble to refinish a floor. I know he'll think it is, and I know I'll think it's not. I know he'll complain, and he knows it won't stop me. We usually compromise, though, we select stuff like furniture and curtains together, I would never buy anything he hated. We've actually benefitted from the house-hunting process, we've learned to listen to each other's opinions more. We've had so much fun, making fun of other people's houses as we drive away. "Did you SEE that?" "Yes, wasn't it awful?"
