TERN's S-CDMA is a niche product, and the purported DOCSIS 1.2 is all but dead. There may be some functionality added to 1.1, but it doesn't seem likely at this point in time that S-CDMA will be there. But if at some point it is added, BRCM already owns rights to it, so they would be able to provide sourcing as well. Fwiw, BRCM is the standard setter (DOCSIS and otherwise), and is the only stock I would buy and not even look at for 2 years. That said, TERN's CEO Zaki Rakib and his team are some VERY bright guys with some great tech.
