So what? Even if you can't cancel such a project, you don't have to focus so much attention on it. But Intel is doing just that. Instead of quietly retreating from Merced, Intel is doing the very opposite, vocally announcing to the whole world how Merced will be the beginning of a new powerful architecture.

Do you truly think that Intel is setting itself up for a massive fall? Wait, don't answer; I can guess what you're going to say.
