I reread the sentence you're ridiculing, and see that although it's longer than any sentence ought to be, it's perfectly clear, syntactically and in every other way.

This is a disagreement about argument protocol as regards hypotheticals.

I'm guessing that the reason for the sarcasm is that you were offended by my calling your view of the process of argumentation "psychologistic."

I explained why I used the term, and you understood the explanation perfectly well, Steven, but chose to ridicule my style, which sure was vulnerable, I admit (I blame the hour), instead of responding to my point. I am very dumb about many things, but I'm smart enough to figure that one out!
